Honorando the Downshifting Week (something like "Week to get a change"), held from Monday to Sunday in the United States, I wanted to share the experience of a restaurant I visited a few weeks ago. His name is Kensho, which means 'awakening' in the sense of 'breaking the illusion' according to Buddhist philosophy.
This is a vegetarian restaurant behind closed doors to open some Saturdays in Cochabamba 3400, Boedo, two blocks from the station of the same name as the E and the famous corner of San Juan and Boedo. UPDATE: Has moved to the corner and Estomba Zárraga, in the neighborhood of Villa Ortuzar.
Beyond the great food, I found that the greatest merit of this place is the dynamics and the environment: the first, because the dishes are served at the same time to all guests; and second, because it has a quiet and relaxed atmosphere where you really feel like talking. Even the show that offers Long-She (the group comprising the chef Maximo Cabrera and Guillermina Diaz, his wife) at the end of the night, is smooth and harmonious (noteworthy is the singer's incredible voice).

The menu is a “food in four steps”, as described by the founders of the site (Cabrera and Martin Rodriguez). These consist of a plate of guacamole, humus, carrots and eggplant mayonnaise input, gazpacho and ceviche of fungi as a second step, a main course that depends on the time of year but can be for example quinoa tortilla with goat cheese and citrus, girgolas jumped with papas bravas, Pumpkin kramble; and a dessert which also varies, but may include apple crisp with ice cream and chocolate with wasabi, or banana with phyllo, red fruit, chili chocolate ice cream and served with a slab of chocolate salty.

While it is not very cheap Kensho (45 weights and food show, more drinks, that can be craft beer, organic wine or a delicious lemonade with ginger and basil), the truth is worth it if you want to just get a change and forget the world for a couple of hours.
The place opens at 21 and may last until one o'clock. There is capacity for 20 people and must make reservations by mail to kensho arroba restaurant point dot net or by phone ar 4957 7679. You can check the next dinner at the restaurant blog. UPDATED INFO ON www.kensho.com.ar

Hi – sorry my language skills are not up to it, but THANK YOU for posting a note about National Downshifting Week.
There’s so many ways we can ‘slow down and green up’ and I am delighted to see such energy coming together from so many different countries promoting it.
Wishing you all the best and I sincerely hope you can read my note!!
Kind regards,
Tracey Smith

Hello Paul! Tripping out on Earth itself although that program was recorded years ago!! Kensho now has a place in Palermo, is not the same wavelength as the restaurant is closed with a concert, but the food is still very good and super creative. May you go. Regards!
