Every year, the Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (Malba) invites a curator to develop products for kids that are then sold in their store design (Last year this section was occupied by the toys materials recovered from Satori). This year he was in charge of this segment was the designer Valeria Pesqueira, who was inspired by the school environment to develop a set of objects with an aesthetic that mixes retro with an exquisitely current.
Pesqueira Account: “I liked to take objects that no longer exist in the market as the classic leather briefcase, Labels, the backpack purses are made, covers for books, the little painter. Reversals are respecting the vintage spirit of the object, but reinforced from the specific materials and current, and design appropriate to our era”.
Many more pictures and data in the rest of post.
The collection is aimed at children and adults and includes, As mentioned, A rich red leather briefcase ($390), covers for notebooks with patterned fabrics (that are reusable by changing the interior, $37), cartridge with prints of different compartments ($69), a backpack that transforms into wallet ($84), a wooden box with stamps ($160), Aprons ($58), flags ($65) and a curious case for balloons ($33).
The products will be on display at the museum shop (Av. Figueroa Alcorta 3415) of 29 to August 31 of August.
